What's the reason for Dr. Momsie's absence from the blogosphere the last few weeks? Has she shared all of her child development wisdom and exhausted her stories of anxiously raising a toddler? Well, kinda. Call it momsie-brain, thanks to Peanut.
This itty-bitty person, currently known as "Peanut," is causing Dr. Momsie some pretty wicked morning sickness. It doesn't help, of course, to have a full-time job and a very rambunctious and sleep-fighting toddler in the house. Oh, and then there was that sinus infection, which may have been the most serious case of head congestion I've ever experienced in my life.
Somehow, looking at the computer has been a morning sickness trigger, as has been looking at my phone, driving my car, getting up in the morning, drinking water, eating dinner . . . just about anything except laying down in the bed. Now, that I'm feeling a smidge better due to the sage advice of my OB nurse, who suggested I start drinking gatorade (water was making me naseous, but dehydration was compounding the morning sickness problem), I feel a little less queasy when looking at the computer screen.
In the next few weeks, I hope to win back my readers with an my thoughts on current events, a special Ask Dr. Momsie feature, and updates on Jr. and Peanut.
See ya soon!
